Description
When your driving down a country road (or city streets for that matter), there's always that dog that just has to chase the car. Having seen you coming, they wait to ambush you, then charge in from the side. They lunge at your tires barking or growling. (You wonder what would happen if they ever caught them!) Then your car's relentless, unlimited speed slowly pulls away from them, leaving them still chasing after you, eating dust--sometimes for a quarter of a mile or more. Sometimes, you see them stop running before they disappear in your dust trail.
Makes you wonder why they do it, doesn't? Well, I know why. Because it's darn good fun!!!
Thanks for looking!
Jeremy

SMILES .... Once, TallPockets just suddenly STOPPED his vehicle, rolled down his window a bit, and looked at said 'doggie' .... Doggie was even MORE confused than TallPockets usually is and after a few seconds of STARING, trotted off. (SMILES)
We don't get that behavior much in the city, though. Leash laws and all. Cats roam free, but I've never seen one chase a car...
A dog ... a little angry as only dogs can be sometimes. Beautiful image, even the environment around is magnificent.
It's in their DNA to do this as only dogs can...lol....Seen my fair share of this scenario in my life....Splendid recreation here Jeremy!
Excellent composition! :)
So true! I think they all have either fear or anger that has no place to go...so they take it out on cars! Interesting that cars are so much BIGGER than they are!?! hmmmm!
Those tires will be the death of him yet lol Nice work.
Yeah, that brings back memories, back when I was out at my grandparents farm, and driving down the country roads past the other homesteads and acreages. I usually found it kinda annoying though, not wanting the darned dog to hurt itself in the process. Fortunately, no dogs got hurt when I was riding in the truck or car. My grandfather had an old International 1960'ish 1/2ton, straight-6 for an engine, manual transmission, heavy suspension and a hoist box, with a water tank (can't recall how many gallons, was one of those steel cylinder tanks), as the house had a cistern. Always took him a few trips to the municipality water shed to fill it, and was always fun going along for the ride. The truck was pink in color, believe it or not, and somehow garnered the nickname "The Pink Panther". I always figured it was the same thing as when there's little dogs barking, growling and nipping at your heels when you visit a friends / relatives, or person's place. Your intruding on their territory, and they consider the road going past the house part of their territory... Love the render! Its very well portrayed, be it 1920's or 1980's, farm dogs chasing vehicles down country roads is always timeless... Everything is so lively, from the running hound dog, to the car in motion, and the grassy dirt road and countryside. Man, its been a long time, perhaps too long since I last visited and commented. Always is a pleasure to. Will have to start catching up now :)
The blur on the wheels is fine attention to detail
he he he! good!
