Description
To my mind inspiration can take many forms. An idea for what was originally intended to be only a single picture may lead to an entire series being created. That was the case with what will be this weeks humble offerings here in my gallery section here at Renderosity. But where do the ideas for even an individual picture come from?
I have known about the British artist Anne Stokes for quire some time but it is only in recent months with my developing interest in Gothic pottery that I came into contact with a company called “Nemesis Now” and managed to acquire a copy of their catalogue. Featured in the catalogue along with the work of many other artists is the incredible artwork created by Anne Stokes. In one of those “interesting” turns of fate which seems to occur with me on a regular basis my research into the artist and her artwork has revealed that she lives only 50 miles from the small village in South Yorkshire (England) that I live in so it is just possible that I may get the chance to meet her one day. I do hope this will be the case as I would love to have the chance to purchase in person a signed copy of one her works for my wall at home directly from her.
Featured here today is the first in a series of five pictures I have been inspired to create after seeing the work of Anne Stokes. As always I hope you like what you see and if by chance Ms Stokes ever stumbles across my gallery and view’s the work I have been inspired to create I hope she will view kindly the images which have come into being as a direct result of seeing her awesome creations.
Some of the pictures just stand on their as this one does. Others have a short, or not so short story that goes with them.
