Description
This is a wider shot of the foto I posted yesterday. Today, the river's MUCH higher and faster, and muddy as can be. Not so much fun.
Btw, an update on my son's dog--he's improved some, but is still very, very sick. He can't walk, but is alert and likes seeing his dog friends. We still don't know how it will turn out.

super place
That rock looks like a geologist's dream...layered and tilting. Neat pic!
Nice work, the photo conveys the feel of high fast water!
cool
Wonderful panorama!
What a gorgeous day to be on the water! Beautiful color and composition.
Lovely shot, looks calm here.
That water looks so inviting. I'm suitably jealous! I hope everything works out with the little guy.
I prefer my rivers peaceful!
Beautiful place... Aloha
Amazing view, nice capture!
Very lovely water scene; and I'm still praying for Barger...
Xcellent shot!
i love the low angle and the colour of the water in the foreground
fine choice to have the rock only visible in its lower portions, and the water spread out before it like a grand mirror. The photo's serene, vast, mysterious, and the green hues in reflection, and the white of the sky are fine contrasts with everything else. WIth your previous shot---even more bold in its compositional choice---you've made creative use of a beautiful vista. Really nice seeing, Marilyn. You always find the 'new' vista and the revealing one. Your eye never rests.
lovely place!!! great shot!!!
I'm a bit late with commenting, but I'm still holding positive doggy thoughts! And as for this shot! WOW! OOooooh! The water is so nicely alive in that nicely green color. It kinda makes me think Rusalki (kinda bad-ass water nymphs with Russian accents) might live in that there river: they're not the kind who sit on rocks, singing and combing their hair. No, they're...um...they're the riot-grrls of the water nymph world and they like calm water. And now that I've rambled, this is really superb. I love the restful vibe and the clarity of that water. The rock is quite interesting as well!
A beautiful shot and It looks like a great day to be on the river
