Description
I recalled going here in 2002 and my sister introducing my stomach to their buttermilk scones served with home-made jam and clotted cream...
Being spring back then the gardens were also very special and I really wanted to re-acquaint myself - especially with the scones.
Sadly this time I was the in autumn, the restaurant was closed and the gardens nothing very special.

I don't know what "clotted cream" is, bummer...it sounded really yummy reading what you were saying up until I read that. lol I am sure if you say its good, then I believe you though! lol Such a BEAUTIFUL place!!! Wow. I Would love to visit myself!
Hmmm...clotted cream. That makes me think of farmer's cheese, but if it's a cream, can it be a cheese also? I'll have to look that one up. Now, as for this photo...I love the regular windows and the light. This looks quite cinematic and in all of the best ways. The POV is deliciously intimate, as if you actually live there and are simply walking across the garden area to walk into the most familiar of doors. The little umbrellas, furled, add a nice surprise in terms of color. Really nice work.

Well Clotted Cream.. How can you describe Clotted cream? Its nothing like cream you get in tubs or a pouring cream.. Nothing like a whipped cream.. It tastes nothing like any of them.. 'Real' Clotted Cream' comes from Cornwall, Devon, Counties in the South West of England.. Tradition dictates you have it scones, with Jam. lol The cream you spoon on and it will barely move..
