Description
By the 1970s Arthur J Crudworthy had fallen out of favour with Pan and had been snapped up by Penguin. While his novels were still full of dashing heroes, sleek rockets and the other trappings of late 50s, early 60s pulp SF the covers began to reflect the fashion for putting pretty girls in varying states of undress on them.
Originally entitled "Dick Starr on Venus", published in 1961, the publishers felt that a change of title would attract younger male readers.
Crudworthy, although initially unhappy with this began to tailor his newer material for the more sexually permissive 70s, spicing things up with, among other things, interspecies romance between his human heroes and exotic alien princesses. It was a move which his long-time readers disliked and would prompt his changing publishers once again...
This is good old Vic3 with various goodies (sorry I can't remember where from... been on my hard drive for a few years) exported from DAZ Studio to Bryce for tweaking and rendering.
Thanks for looking... more to come ^_^

She looks the part - and all wonderfully styled again!
fabulous picture
Is that penguin looking up her skirt ? :-) Really captures the feel of these mass produced page turners, and what red blooded spotty youth wouldn't be attracted to such artwork.....
