Description
As illustrator usually I creates artworks for book covers or magazines on demand - as you can see on my website - but I long toyed with the idea to create illustrations of classic science fiction novels to put on the royalty free market, as usual for my spare production.
Here's my version the cover of "1984", by George Orwell, first published in 1949.
Software used: Poser 7 and Bryce 7, postwork with Photoshop 7 and Dynamic-Photo HDR.
The original file is 1668x2500 pixels.

Very nice cover, with a steampunk/cyberpunk (you decide, the punk is there anyway !) feel that's quite relevant for this book, a major landmark in a long chain of mind-stirring dystopias.
