Description
A 'Where's Wally' with all the grockles, taken from the pier.
It was my intention to put this on Flickr only but I like it so much better than my last upload you've got to see it too!
It reminds me in a very small way of Paul Sample's
cartoons.

WOW - It is massive! A lovely image of this celebration of the start of your spring/summer!
This is great. Love the over-sized chair & all the little people going about their business. In the U.S., it's published as "Where's Waldo?". Don't know why they felt the need to change the name...
It looks so sureal. Wonderful shot. :)
Well I did a double take, and I'm still not sure!!
It puts everything around in miniature, super shot Andrea.
Fantastic image! Great postwork! :)
I prefer the previous upload. The POV does it for me in the previous capture. Wonderful capture and post work Andrea. God Bless.
By gum lass it's big.
I like this one... and the previous one. :)
I found Waldo Jr ... just down and to the right from center. White and red striped shirt, blue jeans, and a red cap. :) Wonderful image!
Great looking shot Andrea. Lots of folks out enjoying the nice weather.
a seat of power and no mistake, superb
Again, awesome capture of Gulliver's chair sitting amidst the Lilliputians, enjoying themselves at the beach. I like the repetitive serrated huts in the background.
WNDERFUL POSTER!
I still think it's the coolest thing ever; and look at all those people out in the sun already! It isn't nearly warm enough for that here yet.
Splendid work!
From this angle it is even more impressive :-) WOnderful postwork too.
This capture really is amazing ! Top-level, Andrea.
cool
There's a lot going on. Fantastic shot and postwork!!
Great eye-catcher. Glad we are getting to see everybody turning out for the sun. Do like the posterization...
This one is also great - and it must be warming up, people starting to peel off the layers! but no doxies allowed on this beach? BB
Would like to have seen it in the flesh so to speak :o)
I love this! Well done, Andrea! Clive
On my list of things to do this week. Great shot. Be hard pressed to capture it better than this.
Fantastic image! Great postwork!
Another excellent POV of the giant chair. Lots of people - I hope it was warm.
Wow Andera both ways are awesome!! Wonderful work! Great shot of the huts in the background and the visitors enjoying themselves at the beach in this one.
ok, this was another shot of yours that, when it went up, just made me nuts. With glee. I saw Paul Sample's work (from your link) and love it...This is a big busy morass of a shot---a type of shot I always like because I love when artists make music out of seeming randomness and chaos. But your postwork somehow separates the people & elements, makes them all seem separate entities, and gives a clarity to the shot that the original, I assume, didn't have. Part of it is that your postwork creates subtle 'edges' around each person & object. But part of it is a slight flattening of the morphed hues of nature, and your signature breakup of surfaces into concentric 'islands' of hue after hue. (This is very hard to put into words.) So it's slightly flattened, which makes each person & object an object of design---always a clarifying feature in 'crowd' shots. But then it's also the composition itself---coagulations of people & stuff in groups, and those wonderful white triangles over the stalls or cubicles (whatever those are in the background, left). And all this almost makes the main attraction---a deck chair for brontosauri---seem almost an afterthought. Then, of course, we see the chair, and it's quite a sight...This it the type of picture that may have a central 'character' (the chair), but which is about everything else in addition. Love the composition, and love the postwork. Terrific.
