Description
This Snowy Egret flew right in front of me and I was as unprepared as can be. Only got off one shot and not the best of focus. They are about 24 inches (61 cm) long and with a wingspan of 41 inches (104cm). Photo taken and Green Cay wetlands, west of Boynton Beach. Better focus and details in zoom mode!
Thanks for stopping by, taking a look and for all your previous favs and comments. They are very much appreciated.

no one that I know of is ever prepared for a sight like this Great capture Dana it is awe inspiring
Superb in flight capture Dana! :)
Still a nice shot, considering how fast you probably had to react. I light the translucency of the feathers, very interesting detail to study. (I think I may have been raytracing too long....)
This is what I would call catching it on the fly.Very impressive shot even if it was a surprise.
they are so graceful in flight.beautiful shot
Gorgeous image Dana, fantastic timing, excellently done!
Sometimes you just got to go with what you have Dana, this is a great shot, I have had situations like this where I have fumbled about to focus and utterly missed the moment my friend. You didn't :}
fantastic shot!!
cool looking
Very nice capture!
Great shot difficult to get sharp if you aren't expecting it and good exposure.
This is a super capture Dana. I think we call this one the little egret here in the UK.

Very nice capture Dana! :)
They are so pretty and timing was just right on this pic.
Such an aerodynamically beautiful flight position...gorgeous bird and excellent capture under the circumstances, certainly way better than any flight shots I've ever gotten!
Great capture Dana.
Wonderful spur of the moment capture Dana!!!
S-U-P-E-R-B! I thank you for this one. I want to see more from you. 5+!
Splendid position of the bird, excellent shot!
Wow, for a quick unprepared shot, I'd say you did spectacular. The slight blur looks quite artistic and adds motion to this majestic bird. I think they are so graceful and your shot captures it perfectly.
It is a superb in flight shot!!

You mean to tell me you don't have that camera surgically strapped to your hip at all times?...I'm shocked!....lol.... Awesome Dana!...Even for being unprepared you captured it superbly!
