Description
The Spanish Sparrow or Willow Sparrow (Passer hispaniolensis) is a passerine bird of the sparrow family Passeridae. It is found in the Mediterranean region and southwest and central Asia. It is very similar to the closely related House Sparrow, and the two species show their close relation in a "biological mix-up" of hybridisation in the Mediterranean region, which complicates the taxonomy of this species.

Very nice capture. Love the background.
A superb capture, almost like a page of a book.
Amazing work!!!
This is truly a beautiful bird. I see the differences between that and House Sparrow readily; we have House Sparrows here. They were imported from Europe. I would hold that the two are, in fact, one species, just different varieties. Too bad we don't have THIS variety here. Thank you for sharing this excellent photo!
