Moving a little closer yet still far away, you can definitely feel the warm heat radiating. You can see the leading edge of fresh a’a moving along and thru an older flow of a’a. I’ll move in a little closer up to older a’a lava rocks and zoom in on my next post. Aloha and thank you for viewing

Fine image of the a'a (what the heck is that, some kind of lava?) in this capture, Errol!
@goodoleboy....A’ä: A very jagged, clinkery type of lava, which when melted is more viscous than pahoehoe. At Kilauea due primarily to loss of gas and temperature as the lava is flowing. Pahoehoe: Smooth lava... :)
