Description
Captured 1/29/12, early afternoon, at the beautiful Rancho Los Alamitos Historic Ranch and Gardens in beautiful Long Beach, California.
Better detail via ZOOM, especially in foto #3.
Just some of the various benches I came across at the site, probably having been donated over its century or more of existence. Many of them I encountered weren't this neat and clean.
The site, located on four acres, and situated next to the beautiful campus of the California State University, Long Beach, has an adobe ranchhouse, gardens, courtyards, hedges, sculptures, and a wide variety of plants, mainly cacti and big trees, that have been around for eons.
Toodles, thankx for popping in, and for any and all favs and noncritical comments.

Nice job on another cool collage Harry, a marvelous collection here.
beautiful collection again :) like the second, third, and last one too!!
The bottom one for my bottom!
Love number 3 and 5!!!
First one looks comfy....and I like the green color, and the Ivy behind it.
A nice selection once more Harry.. Do they really make such a VAST choice of benches? lol I would choose the bottom one, given a choice! Rob
Wow. Gee. You are the greatest. I thank you for this one. 5+!
very cool benches
Great collage Harry. #1 when I was a kid - these were the only benches that I ever saw. Have never seen anything like #3 before. Must have been homemade.
Ooh, these are all gorgeous benches, Harry; why did I not get the bot about this upload, I wonder? At any rate, a great collection of shots; I'd be happy to sit on any and all of them!
these are wonderful not just for the benches themselves, but for the highly detailed backgrounds you give, without a flinch over the decay, dirt, grime and beautiful patterns in each case. The first one has leaves galore, in the second your bush background has the most downy feel to it, and the 3d, 4th, and 5th have wonderfully bare but chafed and cracked surfaces. I just love how bold your backgrounds are, here. And the benches---you've given many varieties. And, being the old montage-person that I am, I see your music here: 1, 3 and 5 are benches with backs; 2 and 4---the alternates---are backless benches. And the third---the centerpiece---is a that deep sand-yellow stone, which stands out from all the others. (That's a helluva bench, I gotta tell you.) People who didn't zoom this missed a world (unless they set their browsers to view full size...I don't even know if that's possible on RR). A wonderful collection, where each shot is a beauty in its own right.
