Description
Hi friends,
For the first time (arm in a sling) I went walking in the forest.
On my own because Karel has the flu.
I was high on the mountain here, as it started to rain.
So I turned to go home, as I saw a lot lower these puff balls. Bovista-fungi.
I gently try to come closer, descending the steep slope.
Okay, I took my photos, but then, it was very smooth on all those big trunks with moss.
Just as I was thinking about, how I could come upwards to the path again,
I saw two men arrive with their wives.
I ask the first man, would you give me a hand and pull me up?
The man, he thought, I made a joke, so he did not.
As I said, my shoulder is broken, hence. Okay, he helped me.
These women ask me, how are you come so deep down?
And, if we where not passing by, what would you have done, then?
Well, I said, I had would have invent something
(I guess on my knees. Yes, hehe, because I'm Mies).
I said, I often do stupid things, otherwise I would not have this on my arm.
Well, they answered, you really have a very adventurous mind.
Anyway, I'm safe home again, but I feel the flu has the intent to attack me also.
Well, I really had my fun today!
This is not the best photo I took today,
but that's because of this (too) long story behind it.
Cough, cough.
Thank you very much for your visit:)

Gosh, Mies! How lucky that they were passing! You are either brave or foolhardy. About the skinheads, I have NEVER seen so many in on spot, so thankyou for taking that foolish risk and sharing tour pic!
Wow Mies!!! This is a great shot you got. I'm very glad those people came along to help you. I have no doubt you would have found a way to get up on your own but it might have taken a long time. I hope Karel starts to feel better soon, and that the flu bug leaves you alone.
Great collection indeed! Take care of you, and not too much risk!
Mies, this is a fantastic photo and you had a clever idea for the title. I'm glad you were able to finally get out and go for a walk, I just hope you don't get the flu.

Beautiful and interesting photoshot Mies, i hope you dont get the flu....and i hope your shoulder will be better soon.
Whhile your foolish adventure has given you and us a wonderful image, I do hope in the future that you'll have someone with you - just in case. I pray you don't catch the flu
Worth the "trip"!
A well fitting title: Perfect resemblance and each`s IQ equals that of half a dozen human skinheads too. ;) Sorry about your shoulder! Am wishing you a speedy recovery and flueless weekend!
This is special..Great...Thanks for sharing..
Wonderful capture,take care:)******
How nice of you to upload this pic under such diversity, which is amazing by the way when you are going through so much. I know how bad the pain can be where shoulders are involved having had surgery on both mine, so please do take care of yourself. hugs Jane xx
It could very well have been a night shot if your knight had not helped you up... Great image and delight to see
Great shot of this interestingly arrayed group of fungi that you risked injury to get. Your story made me think of Blanche DuBois's line from A Streetcar Named Desire: "I have always depended on the kindness of strangers"...
you are crazy ;) like me ...egal wie krank ,immer drauf los maschiert !beautiful capture too !! and take care of you !!
een verrassende vondst, een spannend avontuur en een mooie foto ! wees voorzichtig met deze griep, ziek hem goed en helemaal uit, want dat moet bij deze echt ! sterkte, ook voor Karel

Mies, I fully agree with Andrea! Brave or foolhardy?? In any case, I admire you very much! I hope that flu is soon over for you and your husband! The photo is really wonderful! Congratulations! :)

Excellent shot Mies but you were lucky. You do take chances and I admire your spirit but you must be careful.
Nicely caught!!
OHH MY Goodness! All these troubles, just to make a wonderful shot for us. Thank you Jacomina :-D I am so glad you came home without further difficulties. But please take care of yourself, woman. Tell me Who is that guy burried under the shrooms? I see his feet sticking out ;-D
LOL! On the title! :D Excellent capture of these Puff-ball mushrooms! :)
Dit is prachtig, en zo veel bij elkaar. Ik had er ook een 3 in mijn tuin staan dit laatste najaar( 2011 ). Wel grijsachtig een erg stoffig in binnen kant.
