Description
We all know: Photography is the art, science and practice of creating durable images by recording light or other electromagnetic radiation.
...this is the first in a series of images featuring lighting in the National Museum of the US Air Force...the way it illuminates, highlights, casts shadows and even twinkles.

A perfect example Bill, its plane to see this is a lovely shot!!
The lighting in there really is gorgeous. I love the sheen on the metal, but I really dig that floor! Wow. Outstanding shot!
Superb capture my friend. God Bless.
I could explore around a place like this for days!
Fabulous shadows and shapes! A sSUPERB pic, Bill, even though I have little interest in planes!

We did Andrew! lol A great shot Bill, When I first saw the title I misread, and thought it was going to be a Lightning! But this is almost as cool ;-) Well shown and a great idea! Rob
Great capture and composition.
Very cool photo and great study in lighting
And it does all of those things and more in this wonderful capture, Bill; perfect to show off all those flying machines!

GREAT SHOT
Great capture. I spent one day there in 2010, and that wasn't nearly enough. I like the lighting and I recognize an SA-16 (HU-16) in the background. When I first joined the Air Force they still had some of those for sea/air rescue!
love your lighting!!! awesome!!!
Oh...how'd I miss this one? So much shiny steel and aluminum. Plenty to reflect the light. "Honey...got a comb?" Oops, T.Rex's are supposed to be bald and NOT look like the Beetles! The shadows and reflections on the floor are interesting, making interlacing patterns. Looking at the underside of the wing - the metal looks straight at a distance, but close up like this it bulges inward slightly between the frames. Waer and tear from supporting the weight of many take-offs and landings? The metal on the top is flat. Shows the power of air when put under pressure. Keep up the good work! :-)
Fine POV, clarity, sepiatone and lighting effects in this Museum shot, Bill.
very wonderful looking
