Description
Captured 10/18/09, at the beautiful Orchid Show held at the beautiful Huntington Botanical Center and Conservatory in beautiful San Marino, California.
An indoor tripod-mounted photo.
Most ZOOM worthy.
A very difficult decision to make, but after considerable review I selected these beauties in observance of my second millennium of postings on Renderosity. I almost made a collage - heaven knows I have tons/tonnes of orchid shots - but each foto would have distracted from the other, so this is it.
Sayonara, thankx for clicking on, and for any and all favs and noncritical comments.

First of all, my apologies, I forgot to comment of your post yesterday (this one).. Am rectifying that now.. A wonderful floral shot, glorious colours to help us through the chill of Winter.. Well posted Harry! Rob
I'm not commenting anywhere now, Harry, but I couldn't not comment on your 2000th image. You know how much I regard & respect your work & your approach to photography; and 2000 images---especially for someone who posts only one image per day (as opposed to people who post 2 or 3)---is stellar. But most important is the quality you've maintained from the start, and your deep dedication to all aspects of the art. This is a lush & opulent capture of these orchids, another in this luscious series of yours, and fitting for such a huge milestone. I hope to capture flowers as beautifully as this, one day; they just whisper beautiful light, and wonderful morphing from hue to hue...beautiful. (Your new brick wall series was wonderful---made me want to draw again---as were your recent fog shots...when I return I'll go back and catch a whole bunch of things I've not commented on.) Hope your back is ok & everything else as well. And thanks for showing up in my gallery when I've been gone so much, it's greatly appreciated. Many thousand more shots here, Harry! This is a great way to celebrate it too...
Superb photography as ever, love these orchids!! hugs Jane xx
