Description
...between 1924 and 1974, 5,000,000 International Harvester (IH) Farmall tractors were built.
...found the beauty above at, of all places, an airshow. This is a completely restored 1950 IH McCormick Farmall, Model M.
...some horses and mules were still used for cultivating/plowing on farms in the US until after World War II.
...tractors such as these led to complete mechanization of even small, family farms.

A brilliant use of selective colouring, Bill! I rather like tractors: when I was in my twenties I had fantasies about driving one while wearing an evening dress.
That's a few tractors alright and this one is a beauty..
theyve done a great job
This tractor is beautifully turned out. I used to drive tractors when in my teens for the local farmers in my village.
Look's as though it just came off an assembly line-Stunning restoration work
So well looked after, Andrea made me chuckle!!
cool capture !
Superb capture Bill. God Bless.
I love old tractors i captured lots of them at the shows awesome pic.
Gotta agree that things build in day long past seem to last longer than todays "throwaway" stuff. Used to have a 70's IH Transtar truck based round here when I was a nipper and boy did I spend hours dreaming about that!
Nice! Really nice... Completely nice! I like... lol Can you tell I like? Great postwork as well Bill... lol Rob
Go Big Red! I like the red tractor against the B&W background.

A beauty. Great old tractor.
What a gorgeous thing; someone in my neighborhood was selling an old one not long ago. It didn't last long!
Awesome capture and postwork of this beautiful machine Bill!!
Very lovely capture, and I really like the focus here and the rest in b&w... I think that choice was most perfect. Definitely seems like a trusted, and sturdy little tractor. Cute little umbrella there as well! Interesting find!
Great photo and presentation of....
Nice capture, and I love your postwork! Funny, I remember being out in the middle of a flat, treeless area. Airfield, you know? LOL! Where on earth WERE you? I must have been gabbing with Linda while you wandered off.
Marvelous work Bill! I love your choice of selective coloring here!
Thats a strong tractor...great shot
tractors are something we see a lot of here in the rural south west of England, and this is a beauty
GREAT SHOT
wonderful work
Hmmm, I thought John Deere had cornered the market in farm tractors. In any event, great clarity and detail in this pic of the beautiful equipment, Bill. Looks ahead of its time in design.
