Description
Many times I'll hear....Why do you want a macro lens? Well often I'll see things in nature on my many hiking adventures.
A fine example; I find the texture and patterns of these plants intriguing, and thought how amazing an abstract this would be as a macro. Alas the image we have here is from a 105mm zoom lens.
Have had the title "Beauty in death" stuck in my head for this image, but changed it last moment when posting.
To the kind souls that leave their mark whether a comment, rating, or save the image as a fav, you are very much appreciated, thank you!!!
Thank you all that viewed the last image below.

My experience is the same as yours...a macro lens is on list:) But still a good shot of these prickly critters:)
I only wish I had one! - maybe soon? ... this image is particularly interesting, when zoomed in - it opens up a whole new world of fine details, probably ignored by some, when going for a walk - but never by anyone with camera in hand ;) impressive Dana, BB
I've tried macro shots with thistles. You have to be careful or you could put out an eye! This is a wonderful shot as is.
