Description
...did some digifiddling with this old (1908) Curtiss four-cylinder engine and liked the result enough to share it here:)
What is it? Factsheet for those who'd like to know a little more.

I love this! What a cool bit of machinery. Nice postwork! I love the symmetry/not symmetry, with the pipes and rockers and wires. Just right!
Superb capture Bill. God Bless.
it makes a cool abstract
Nice shot and great symetry Bill.
That's an interesting shot, and engine! Looks to be made of bronze but possibly you might have fiddled with the colors too.
Hmmm.... fiddling with that - I wonder what kind of music it makes? Quite an interesting construction. And quite unique, as such most likely don't exist. The choice of metals is interesting, as are their colors. The rods and rockers remind me of a marine diesel I once saw on a large passenger liner. I'm trying to figure out where you've been "playing the fiddle" on this - my guess is on the 4 pipes (can one play the fiddle on pipes?). They seem a bit angular. Thanks for the comments and suggestions on my last post. As for people photos, that would be difficult considering I can't turn off the flash. But I can go in and take some photos of the architecture, though I believe the ball room is locked when not in use. Keep up the good work! :-)
I don't care what it is, I LOVE it!!
They don't make em like they used too really applies here. You can't even se an engine these days for all the electric brain boxes, pipes and wires whatever they are fitted too. A real work of art Bill :)
Beautiful engine, shot and PW!
Great photo of this antique engine....
i have to admit that my technical knowledge tends to be of the photographic type and there it stops. However i can appreciate the sense of designthat goes into producing such complex pieces as this and with this in mind this is superb
Very cool work on this.
Looks like some sort of OLD musical instument :o)
Nice post work. The lighting is great.
From this angle it almost looks like it has a stylized stag hood ornament...excellent digifiddle! This is wonderful!
Very cool looking engine
I thought I recognised this! lol they don't make 'em like this anymore, do they!? A well captured shot through the glass Bill, not easy at these places.. They were DARK! lol Good one! Rob
like this details and shiny copper !!
Awesome capture and postwork of this really cool old engine!!!
Look's to be in great condition for an old engine-great capture...
great shot
Interesting postwork applied to this image of the old copperplate engine, Bill.
Oh, that's supercool, Bill! The engine is great by itself, and topping it off with your great postwork makes it worthy of a wall at the Nelson! Love this!
A nice shot of this clean machine.
notable symmetry... wonderful light and tones!
Looks better than the Museums picture. Amazing capture of this engine under glass.
great
Very cool :)
THese old engines are quite fascinating, arnt they? :-) WOnderful digifiddle :D
Fascinating mechanical abstract - nicely framed & lit...
