This is Picture Gorge in central Oregon.
The John Day Fossil area contains a complete fossil record of the last 40 million years. What a fascinating place this was to visit!

Oooh, I love this and I love a good fossil collection too. Of course, when I read the title, I thought I'd scroll down and see a gorge with all sorts of wonderful, framed pictures hanging on the walls. Sometimes, I wonder about me. I love this shot, the POV is perfect!
Following the end of the road and wondering, if it is going through a tunnel, after that? majestic surrounds! - almost scary and claustrophobic to me, that's why I am living on top of hill ;) BB

When I read the e-bot I had a brief vision of a huge table with folk stuffing their faces with drawings and paintings. My mind doesn't improve with age. Still, this is amazing and REAL which is so much more exciting!
