Description
We had a great time exploring the I & M Canal in October. (Thanks for the tip, Yvonne!) :) This was a duckweed-covered pond at one of the stops we made on our first day out.
Perhaps I got a little carried away with the postwork, but sometimes it's fun to see where the process takes me! I loved this storybook colored-line-drawing look.
The waterfall was lazy, the sycamores were delightful, and we had a nice walk along the canal in the afternoon sunshine. Ahhhhh ... nice memories!

Stunning capture Tara. God Bless.
I was wondering if this is where Jareth might have hidden after his escape from the yard. Nice sci-fi look.
amazing colors and atmosphere
nice treatment
Super work on this Tara but where are the ducks, have no one told them about this place?????
Awesome picture!
This seems to be a great shot, the lighting being truly beautiful but, to me, the effect you added ruins it! :( I'd love to see the original! Plz? ;)
Right up my street, well, canal at least. FAB postwork, Tara! I disagree SO much with the previous comment. The composition is just perfect.
the sunshine makes a special mood at this nice place !!like the effects too!
Now here is some postwork! Impressive and I like! lol Works for me, good job Tara! Rob
Beautiful composition.
Applause for the postwork. I understand some desire to stick to a pure photographic look but I for one like to experiment with 1, 2, 3 or more filters every now and then...the effects are very creative and IMHO are a reflection of artistic license:) The overall composition is spot on.
the postwork works well on this one !
I like the post work on this photo, it give it a painted feel. Great Job.
I like a lot Hun! The patches of sunlight are beautiful - a perfect picture!
I like it too, it's beautiful postwork! And I do love duckweed...
the postwork really adds something to the image, although I would love to see the original as well and it does look like it comes from a children's story book
Well done - this postwork will work will will a variety of scenes.
Wonderful painting like feel to this awesome image!!!
WOW! it is beautiful and now that it looks more simple, it should be good for a painting :-D
I especially like the trees in this.
Wow, very different for you and very nicely done! Thank you my friend for all your support in my absence!!! Means the world to me, hoping to get here more often very soon. Hey, I heard you guys are getting lots of snow and icy rain, hope its not to miserable there. Its awful here right now but not too much snow, just lots of 2o degrees and below 0 with the wind chill. Needless to say I am inside staying warm!!!!!
superbly worked, full of interest
Fine postwork on this bizarre scene.
I think the postwork is great, Tara! It has a wonderful look. That's what I love about all this digital photography/CG stuff. There's virtually no limit - you can explore an image in so many ways.
