Description
Meadow didn't have far to walk before she found someone to hopefully help Zlata. She came across a house built into a tree.
"Anyone there" she shouted.
There was no reply & there were no lights on in the house. Obviously the people who lived there were out. She came away from the door & as she turned, she saw someone in front of her.
"Oh, you startled me" she said to the funny little character stood there with a lantern in his hand. He was dragging something behind him.
"Hello, my name is Zwoggle, are you looking for me?" the character asked.
"Hello, I am Meadow" she replied. "I wonder if you could help at all. My friend has fallen through the ice & we need something to pull her out with."
"Oh dear, that is not good in this freezing weather." Zwoggle told her.
"I know, she is a little dollie called Zlata & a very dear friend." Meadow answered. Wondering if Zwoggle could really help, he did seem a bit, not quite there. She then immediately felt awful as she knew she shouldn't judge someone she didn't know.
"Look, I have been collecting wood in my sack for the fire. Let me put it round the back in the woodhouse, & I will come with you & see if I can help" As Zwoggle, shuffled off round the back to put the wood away out of the snow, he called back to Meadow.
"Hope you don't mind but I will have to bring Spot my dog with us, he hasn't had his walk yet."
Meadow didn't mind one bit she was so thankful she had found Zwoggle & felt a lot easier knowing that at anytime now she would be on her way back to Zlata & Jasmine.

Beautiful image Barbara. The story just keeps getting better and better. I know Andrea has mentioned a few times you should consider making these into a children's book, I have to agree whole heartedly. I would love to see this in print.

Oh thank heaven! Don't forget to bring a rope Zwoggle .. or even that bag you had the wood in will work! Hurry now .. hurry before Zlata is frozen solid and Jasmine catches a cold ... Barb this is just wonderful!
