Whooo, just a bit! At least they're there as a buffer to keep the water from going much further...well, in most cases. You have a very Happy New Year, Mike!
That's why they call it wetlands! Good thing it's too cold for mosquitoes right now.

Changes everything, another lovely pic. HAPPY NEW YEAR to you & yours.
Really interesting to see how high the water rises. Is it the area that you showed in the summer time? I can remember a picture where a sign read, and you noticed that the water was so high times. Great photo series! Have a Happy New Year, my friend!
Wet, wet, but still a beautiful reflection from this tree. Great pic, Mike.

TEACHER: Donald, what is the chemical formula for water? DONALD: H I J K L M N O. TEACHER: What are you talking about? DONALD: Yesterday you said it's H to O. Still far behind... sorry... I'll comment soon...
There's nothing more comforting then a wet land that's wet, grins. I love this shot .. love how the trees grow in all this water, how the grasses are reaching for air, the reflections in the water .. the moss growing on the one tree ..
It rained here to a bit, but it turned to snow.
Looks kinda spooky, awesome..;)
