A dance of joy.

zo helder als
glas
deel ik de vreugde
die er altijd al
was.
Soms niet mocht komen
naar buiten
doch stilletjes bleef ik
fluiten.
Mijn eigen
wijs
niet te koop
voor geen enkele
prijs
te betalen
zal ik er altijd
van blijven ver
halen.

In a dance as clear as glass
I share the joy
there ever was
but express or come out
wasn't always allowed.
Then inside I remained
in a silent whistle
an own tune,
an own melody
not to buy
not for sale
nobody.
Sing, shout
in silence, or loud
as you are
allowed
to be proud.
