With this heart "in the blue", I want try to show how happy I am with you.
Yesterday, you made my day very special.
I feel privileged to have met so many nice friends.
Thankfully, Mies (Jacomina, which is one of my Christian names)
Ik hou van eerlijk
van oprecht
heb mijn woordje
nooit gezegd,
de gezeglijke mij.
Maar als ik ben vrij
waar ik van hou
dan zal ik zeggen
Uw Woord van trouw
aan alle mensen
die zonder woorden
kunnen verstaan,
en zien met gevoel
wat ik bedoel.
This is the last verse of a longer poem, which I tried to translate:
I love honest
of sincere
have my word
never said,
The docile me.
But if I'm free
which I love
I will say
Your Word of truth
to all people
who without words
do understand,
and see by feel
what I mean.
