Description
This is the Town Hall building in Swindon one of my favourite Victorian bits of Architecture in my Adopted town where I have lived since 1973. It was a sleepy railway town then but now the fastest growing town in Europe and should be a City.. The Town Hall is now a Dance Studio. Sign of the times..

Thomas Kincaid should be jealous of such a photographic capture. The POV and the warm lights in the windows and street lamps offer a warm inviting feel, one subtle feature that I like is the bicycle leaning against the post in the for ground right it keeps catching my attention but not in an over baring way. I keep expecting to see a boy come from behind the building to retrieve it. The angles along with the shadows add a touch of character and life that is ecstatically pleasing to the eye. One more thing zoom in for outstanding detail, I can almost hear the sounds of life in the streets and stores. points of interest are numerous, beautifully artistic work from shutter to post Danny! An immediate favorite.
EXCELLENT COMPOSITION
Agree with Digitaleagle about the bicycle, that's a great touch. There's some haloing around the top of the tower where the software has struggled with the HDR. Have you tried Oloneo Photoengine? It's very good at avoiding halos & is soooo quick compared to Photomatix. It's not cheap, but you can get a fully-functional 30 day free trial. Hope this helps, Steve.
