Description
I have captured this gorgeous little fellow at the Umgeni Bird Sanctuary in Durban, South Africa. He was a real show stealer. I'm not sure what kind of owl this is but I'm sure Danny will be able to enlighten us! He is real tiny!
I have learned on this day that owls with orange eyes like this one hunt during dusk and dawn, owls with yellow eyes hunt during the day and owls with dark eyes hunt at night... Some useless / useful trivia... depending on which side of conservation you are. For me this was fascinating as I always thought that all owls hunt at night!
Thanks for popping in and for your very kind comments and favs on my last upload.
Hugs
Carin xx
