Description

On the Heath. They support a bio-system all their own. I always feel these ones are a little mysterious. I've never been there when the sun reaches them..maybe it never does!

I've always loved Birches....I had a River Birch for a few years and then it mysteriously died. Nice work.

Beautiful and fascinating! Our silver birch here are not so deeply scored ... their bark is smoother than this. (Must be like the robins, I suppose.) The moss is lovely, and your composition choice sings! Love this!

I love the texture of tree bark, and this is one of the reasons why. Awesome pic.

You have captured the texture of the bark so beautifully in this image. I love the moss on them too. There are some silver birches that love there feet in very damp places, our silver birches around here seem to thrive in the dry. I'm a big fan of them.
