Description
It has been great for me to have the images to reflect on my time in the UK. Wonderful triggers for the synapses in my grey matter. Memory. Even more is that I am able to share them in a small way, inspiration for others to go and enjoy the places I have seen and experienced.
Experience. That is a big one. Everything in life is an experience - good or bad - it all adds to the learning of life. A thought that I am focussing on, having been handed retrenchment papers yesterday along with 53 colleagues. Twenty-four years of service, quite literally half my life. The company is restructuring and I wish them the best.
Too deep...
Not the water though, even though I did not take a plunge in this bath! Thanks to Andrew's input it only looks about a meter deep.
Reflecting,
Clive

So much for loyalty, Clive! I hope you'll get a decent sum to tide you over till you 'regroup'. This is a superb shot!worthy of wall space.
there is no loyalty where money is involved
Yeah we really are all just numbers these days. And I reckon things like this can be positive in that they force us to take a good hard look at ourselves and find something we like doing even better. Well that's been my experience anywayzzz. There is another old saying that say's 'never take holidays'!
Splendid capture!
This is a fabulous reflection Clive, I don't have to worry too much about anything else since retiring!!
Incredible capture. Great work.
VERY cool and would love to see the original!!! :)
Very cool image and description Sorry to hear of your 'retrenchment' and I wish you the best
Agree with Andrea...wallspace worthy indeed. As for retrenchment (not a common term here), it would be quite a cause for reflection. There's an old saying I've always liked... "When one door closes, another opens'; but we often look so long and so regretfully upon the closed door that we do not see the one that has opened for us". -Alexander Graham Bell
very beautiful !
Stunning reflection, Clive; good luck with refocusing your life, I hope it sorts out well for you.
I'm speechless. So sorry to hear this hard news Clive. I like Bill's comment and I fully agree with him. Wish I could chat to you, then I'll tell you about my forced re-grouping about 2 years ago. All will work out for the best my friend. And I'm here for you - even if you just need to vent. Image - stellar - and I love your sentiments.
Sorry to hear that you also been handed retrenchment papers. May other doors open for you my friend. Follow your dreams. Stunning capture. May the Lord be with you through this time my friend. God Bless.
Great capture I am glad to have seen some the images that you shared with us I will never get the chance to go there but I have in another way thanks to you and others here each day....... So sorry about your news..........hope you can draw something.....and wish you luck if you look else where for work...hubby has been looking forever it seems:( Hugs Susan~
I love the quality of the reflection, especially the stone building. It looks softly appealing ... like you spent hours on postwork to give it that smooth look. Wonderful image! I'm sorry to hear you've been laid off. (That's American for "retrenchment.") Your skill set is pretty easily transferrable, I should think. Best of luck in finding something soon!
