Description
...took numerous pictures of the Skykomish River rushing headlong downstream last month...but this little corner presents a microcosm of what was going on in the melodic, burbling waters that day.
...will try to revisit this site in the spring when the river runs much deeper and faster as it drains the western slopes of the Cascades in Snohomish County, Washington. I say, "try", because State Route 2 that parallels this river is closed during the winter due to deep snow. As snow melts in the spring, the danger of avalanches is high.

Very beautiful capture Bill.. Love shots like this.. Really worth fill size view folks!
love the colors, sadly you shaked the cam. 1/10sec at 49mm is difficult for handheld. your f16 stop was to high, open the lens to f8 and use ISO 400 or higher (or better yet, use a tripod) greetings from Greece
beautiful!
Just fabulous! Timeo Danaos et dona ferentēs

So much movement - I can just hear it flowing by. Peaceful none the less, Clive
Big rocks and little rocks. Lots of stellar textural effects in this pic of the Skykomish River running its course, Bill.

Lovely capture. I like the soft water.
Wonderful exposure time on this capture! :) The water may be soft, but I can asure you the rocks are not forgiving. ;)
A beautiful shot, Bill! I'll bet that river really rushes during the snowmelt in spring!
Sweet shot -- my river can look like this too, then get deep, fast and nasty in the winter. I love the soft effect on the on that little waterfall!!
Beautiful, I was out in the Smokies the other day trying to get some shots of waterfalls and streams and trying to blur the water and stop the action, harder than it looks.
I agree with the folks above - nice adjustment to slow down the shutter speed. Great catch of the water motion and as well along the background.
