Description
Our hotel room in Chicago had a wonderful city view, and the building across the street housed the world headquarters of Morningstar.
This is the second of three.
Enjoy figuring out what is real and what is reflection!

I see what I think are reflections OF reflections, but I'm not entirely certain, though I can see all sorts of details. I worked in one of these crystal catastrophies, once and it was around the time I heard Laurie Anderson describing buildings as: "Big mistakes, looming against the sky." That stuck with me and helped to solidify my intense dislike (allergic reaction?) to places where big business means more than the actual people doing the big business! Ah, but what a sight such structures make...they're quite amazing and I often wonder what the world would be like if we built greenhouses as tall as some of the skyscrapers around. Imagine a whole forest, 14 or 15 stories above street level...How wonderful that would be! As for this photo, I'm intrigued by everything in it, the glass, the shimmer, the reflections, the different grades of light. Everything. This rocks. And I have some idea of where you were standing when you took this shot. I can imagine your reflection in that mirror with a border that was actually a different color than everyone initially thought. This is a beauty!

A great place to visit...but nobody has to work or live there...it is all a matter of choice...as is your photo. And the choices you made, POV, composition and postwork are marvelous.

First I see the twin pyramids. Then I satisfy my voyeurism by looking into everyone's work spaces. It gives an odd impression of a beehive. Excellent work.

You know, there's just something I find fascinating about looking into one of these big office bulidings and watching all the hustle-bustle going on inside! It kind of reminds me of a phrase in the movie "Brewster's Millions" where Richard Pryor makes a comment: "We're in the business of being in business..." I wonder if any of the office workers has a clear idea of where he/she fits in the great machine... Anyway, I love this photo, Tara! So much fun detail to look at, great reflections, and a delightful mood!
