Description

This is part of the Grand Coulee in Washington State. I took this on the first day of our trip, and have been saving it for a special occasion. It doesn't get much more special than the birthday of a dear friend! The history and geology are fascinating ... here's a link to the Wiki for those of you who are interested.
Happy Birthday, Rod!

All I ever heard off was the dam. Did not realize the landscape around it was so spectacular. Super image. Happy birthday Rod.

Oh, MAN! Just look at that! That must have just taken your breath away when you drove into this scene - because it takes mine away just seeing the photo you got of it! What a shot, Tara! Thank you so much, my dear friend for this beautiful dedication! "gettin' older, but still ornery!" :-D

Simply spectacular. I can just imagine the pre-historic floods that roared through here to cut such a gigantic gouge in the landscape. Your natural framing and outstanding postwork make this shot worthy of hanging on a wall. AND, Happy Birthday Rod!

This is some pretty amazing landscape! I mean...seriously...WOW! I have yet to see something like this and I have to say that it's something I'm quite anxious to see with my own eyes. The sense of scale must be amazing as well as all of the visual interest and that amazing geology. This rocks! It's a perfect birthday dedication too!
