Description
While visiting the wonderful aquarium at uShaka Marine World in Durban in August this year, I was fascinated by this little boy sitting in one of the "portholes" just watching the fish swim by. I don't blame him - it is so calming that it's easy to get fixated!
Thank you for visiting my gallery and for your very welcome comments and favs on my last upload "Selling Her Goods".

The kid is dreaming for sure. I agree this has a calming effect on me. God Bless.

I understand that perfectly!
Wonderful capture Carin, I bet he was at peace for a while.
What a lovely shot of the little boy. Yes, it is calming to sit and watch this.
Great story told in the image, Carin. Makes you look more than once, Clive
That is something I would do. great capture Carin.
Very nice shot - I've seen kids and grown ups stare into aquarium tanks for minutes at a time.
Excellent capture! :)

OUTSTANDING IMAGE!
A future marine biologist in the making. Great find Carin. Makes me want to sit back and contemplate something soooothing:)
I can certainly relate! It's easy to get caught up in just sitting and watching marine life. Wonderful capture!
Love to visit aquariums, and maybe it is time again to do so. The youngsters are so much fun to watch at an aquarium.
Well seen!
Beautiful shot, I love the silhouette of the figure. Great eye for this capture- thanks for sharing! :)

Wonderful capture Carin !
I remember doing just the same lol A wonderful, timeless shot.. Well done! Rob
Contraluz muy bien conseguido.
Lovely silhouette, fish are so calming!!!
@ angora - Yes the ugly dude on the bottom is indeed a shark. I just don't know what kind!
I would be transfixed also. I love those fish things in their native environment, with portholes for easy viewing. That's far better than television! Of course, when I first saw this I thought of Captain Nemo as a kid, and now I know how all of that Captain Nemo stuff started! Brilliant shot. I love the circular frame naturally provided by that porthole. It does have that nice submarine vibe to it.
perfectly
lovely bold use of silhouette, nicely composed and framed my friend
A very calming photo and that is a white tipped shark heading toward the window. Yikes! :o)
