Description
Women like this are all over South African beaches selling their wares to holiday makers. They sell everything - beach bags, towels, hats, caps, buckets, shovels, rakes, hair bands, arm bands, necklaces, T-shirts, swimsuits and many more. They make quite colorful pictures carrying all their goodies but are not keen to be photographed. I did a candid of this one so the angle is not quite how I would have liked it.
Captured in Amanzimtoti, Kwa-Zulu Natal south coast, South Africa in Aug 2011.
Thank you for popping in and for your very welcome comments and favs on my last upload "For Tara - Thank You".

A great capture Carin. I hope she starts selling soon, that lot looks heavy!!
She is a pretty woman. I think I can see a police hat peering above the wall. Could be something else completely!
Andrea - Your "police hat" is actually a male toilet sign! :):)
Very nicely caught!
Excellent capture! :)
Far better than our traffic light vendors - for some reason I do not see many of these ladies down here in the Cape. Great candid! Clive
in the US many take for granted the luxuries we have.such as this lady carrying her store with her.I like the wide variety of colors
SUPERLATIVE IMAGE!
What a wonderful capture!!
Great capture
Very colorful slice of life...
How resourceful! I can think of any number of inefficient ways to cart all that stuff around, but she's clearly got it all figured out. It makes me wish I needed something she's selling. Wonderful capture!
Very colorful and probably very tiring. She should take a tip from her Cambodian sisters. One dollar buys you a portrait.
very neat pic!!!
excellent capture of this colorful lady !!
WOW! I am impressed. She looks really interesting. I´d like a bag and a hat plz :-) Wonderful capture.
Good work — never pass up a good shot!
Wow, what a capture, this lady has a lot to sell!!!
Great capture , Carin ! Beautiful picture !
A beautiful appearance. Supporting as many colors as intensely with her. In addition, this lady has a sympathetic and honest face. A very exuberant picture, dear Carin, great shot :)
An amazing array of colours, excellent candid and I think the angle just fine Carin! Well done.. Rob
I missed a e-bot on this upload Carin. Amazing capture. She is loaded like a donkey. God Bless.
Necessity makes one do many things. Love the colors and candidness...
are you sure she isn't just going for a walk to the mall to have coffee with friends, maybe she always dresses like this :)
Espectacular retrato y muy colorista. Me encanta
LMAO @ Martin... Yeah - maybe that is exactly how she dresses! Silly man!
Excellent and very colorful shot. Something like that you can't see here in Germany.
I wonder why they hate having their photographs taken, either way you captured the moment, looks like a rough life she has I wish her well.
A very colorful people study. I like this photo!
