Description
...our most unique lodging so far.
...thanks to a great recommendation from Yvonne (LovelyPoetess), we made reservations to stay overnight at Marcia Nelson's Bed & Breakfast in her grain bin (or silo). It's got everything any traveler could want.
...not only was it extraordinary to sleep in a silo but Marcia herself added another of life's most interesting characters (herself) to our experience.
...by the way not only can you bring your dog with you here but your horses if you happen to be pulling a horse trailer.
...my picture is rather grainy but that fits right in with our accomodations:-))
Bill
P.S. Corny jokes welcome:)

Great to see the outside too, who would have guessed! I HATE this new system..I was open to change, but not for the worsr.
You know, I never really stopped to look at the outside! This is fun to see. I like the stripes and patterns the light forms on the ridges of the silos. I'll leave the corny jokes for others, having worn out as many as I can think of already! LOL!
Very cool capture and narrative Sounds like a great place to visit
We are actually thinking of doing this for part of the new place as a guest house and another attached to the woodshop as a art studio... I love it!
WOW! It looks fantastic and so fancy LOL !!! Wonderful capture and beautiful light. Tanks for sharing it. :-)))
bonne image!
Wonderful place Bill! I know that car - I was chaffeured in that car!!! Looks like the kind of place I will also enjoy. Sorry - fresh out of corny jokes - way too tired!
OH WOW! This HAD to be to fun! LOL
Oh, my! I had to look twice in order to grasp what I was seeing! The camera angle does a bit of "hide and go seek" with the architecture. I was expecting to see corn tumbling out. What a cool and original idea this is! I'd love to see it in real life. The light from the setting sun really adds some magic to the scene. This photo is a dead-on great one! Good work! :-)
I love this. The idea of it ranks right up there with my other favorite ideas: an abandoned bomber in a field, now serving as a night-club, another huge plane serving as...well...a hotel...and now silo accommodation. I'd say something corny or grain related, but alas, my mind is drawing a blank. I really like this photo, though, especially with that warm light peeking out of a window in the last place I'd expect to see a window! This is super!
Wow, what a different but wonderful place to stay!! Awesome photo Bill!!!
this is what makes the world turn. diff ideas and this is a good one
Corny jokes eh!!!!!! Well I reckon you could have reviewed your...........wait for it.............'WHEAT balance' on your camera!
That is really brilliant! A fabulous idea! And what's more had to be such complete fun to stay in!!! Thanks for showing this.. Rob
theres not a grain f truth in it...;)
Wow, would love to see inside & Mandy could stay tooooo :o)
The narrative is on target! Not the kind of silo I would imagine using for a motel but what the hay!
I like how the evening's reddish glow is amplified by the light in the window. I hope one of you got a good shot of that very recourcefully thought out bathtub. : )
Dang - I must have missed this during the Great Ebot Debacle.... Now, that is just waaaay too cool! It would be well worth the trip just to stay here - that is sooo neat! Darn it - I'm so exhausted from this #%^%#$#$@ job, I can't even come up with any corny wisecracks :-P I'm only firing on 2 cylenders at the moment...
Great capture and American ingenuity at its best!
Tremendous idea and capture!
This looks like a treat on the adventure! A belated comment, I really like the new avatar, Bill! Clive
