Description
In South Belgium (where I live), the Black Stork( Ciconia nigra), together with the Red Kite, is an emblem... But this large wading bird is shy and wary... we don’t see the storks very often... Therefore, when going to Lesbos, I had the secret hope to see there the mythic birds... And we saw them EVERY day !
Dans le Sud de la province de Luxembourg (où je vis), la Cigogne noire (Ciconia nigra) - comme le Milan Royal - sont des oiseaux emblématiques… mais on ne voit souvent pas les cigognes, timides et méfiantes !
Voilà pourquoi, en partant pour Lesbos, mon souhait secret était de voir ces beaux échassiers mythiques… Et nous les avons vus TOUS LES JOURS !
