I wonder why I so seldom paint men.
Of course there are so many more women models available, but still??
I am drawn to beautiful women faces, but men often have more character.
Have to mix a little more I think.
Here is one man anyway!

Wonderful textures and light .. perhaps a man's face can take more rugged texture and stronger colors then a woman's? Marvelous portrait of this young man.

An interesting question, Gun! I tend to catch myself also thinking of female models more often, and what I can do with the camera..... I really like what you've done here, and the expression on his face-definitely one of reflection. The realism is out of this world, really. You do such a marvellous job with each of your character choices!

This is super! I love the contemplative nature of this image (it fits the title, perfectly) and your model has compelling features. I agree that male faces tell completely different stories than female faces: not surprising, as we base our assumptions of characters on their sex...and admittedly, males don't get as much attention in terms of subtle emotions or "stories". This is an outstanding image.
