Description
I took this in Sovereign Hill, Victoria Australia. It's one of the photos where I wished the pole wasn't in the way. But I guess the roof would have fallen down! Or it could have been parked a little further back....errrr but it wasn't! So anywayzzzzzzzz I thought you guys still might be interested in seeing it.

I really do like this but what's that thing to the left of the wagon?
It's interesting that many of our Northern towns in the UK were built on the profits from wool, and yet at present, even though the price has doubled recently, it still costs more to shear a sheep than the price of a fleece.

By the looks if it, it has been well used. A wonderful sagging middle! Very nice shot!
Having worked on some similar wheels I find this very interesting! The tires on the wheels are normally hand-forged iron but these look soooo thick! Perhaps that is a rubber layer over iron? If not, that would be a tough wheel to re-tire. And, about the sag, I think it was designed that way to help keep the load aboard. Note that the frame below has not sagged. It almost looks like it is dished from side to side as well, but I cannot really tell. Love the old workhorse too!

Don't know how I've missed so many days in your gallery...can I blame it on building/staining/painting a 12x12 shed? Beautifully detailed shots Andrew. I think I like the old steamer behind the wagon the best...love the huge old rivets. As for the post in front of the wagon...very authentic...the post looks as old as the wagon itself:) A bit of outback history...
