Description
This bug I discovered yesterday in our garden.
I've never seen this kind before.
So we search for it (most Karel), and found.
The Latin name: Gasteruption jaculator.
This is a female.
Dutch: Sluipwesp.
I took several pictures.
Of another photo you will see pasted the body of the parasite.
It looks great, isn't it?
With their long tails they drill a hole in the larvae of other insects.
And therein lay their eggs.
Thus, the name speaks volumes about their character.
I'm sorry, I'm not so active on Rendero as I want to be.
The flu has struck, and of course the usual pain.
Against this I now received morphine patch,
but I notice not that it helps.

Stunning capture of this unusual bug. He looks like a mean creature. The long pointy tail seems to be sharp at the end. Funny that his tail is longer than his body. Thanks for sharing the information. We don't have these here at least for now.. Great job Mies..

I love this capture Mies. The info is very helpful, since I never heard of this bug before. I hope the patch helps you feel better soon. It will cause you to feel sleepy at least for the first few days until your body gets used to it. Take it easy and get lots of rest.
