Description
This bug I discovered yesterday in our garden.
I've never seen this kind before.
So we search for it (most Karel), and found.
The Latin name: Gasteruption jaculator.
This is a female.
Dutch: Sluipwesp.
I took several pictures.
Of another photo you will see pasted the body of the parasite.
It looks great, isn't it?
With their long tails they drill a hole in the larvae of other insects.
And therein lay their eggs.
Thus, the name speaks volumes about their character.
I'm sorry, I'm not so active on Rendero as I want to be.
The flu has struck, and of course the usual pain.
Against this I now received morphine patch,
but I notice not that it helps.
Thank you very much for your visit,
as for your lovely comments on my earlier upload.
I am always pleasantly surprised with it.
p.s. for more details do use Zoom.
p.p.s. there is also a little crab-spider on the big photo.

Super captures of this amazing little critter and that little crab spider is a master at disguise. I had to look twice before I spoted him. Sorry to hear that you have the flu, I do hope you are feeling better soon.
Amazing what Nature has come up with. Hope you feel better.
This ia a breathtaking collage. Strange wasp yet very beautiful. I did see the crab spider and the parasite in zoom. Fantastic camera work. Dana
I don't know wether this insect is superb or ugly !!! Your photo is top level. Sorry to hear about your pain.
wow! What a critter!! Had to go back to see the spider. Pain Pain GO Away. :)
Cool capture Mies.
Superb capture! I love the detail and the wasp looks like an alien. (Though his head and antennae remind me of a rabbit eared TV antenna.) Many years ago I watched one of David Attenborough’s programs, “The Trials of Life”. There was a wasp of this same general type, though it implanted it’s eggs in a caterpillar. They showed how they hatched and fed on their living host from the inside. It was very creepy. Wonderful capture of the tiny crab spider. It blends so well with the flowers. I like how it is watching the wasp in the inset image.
