...employing a highkey filter on the Tillamook Rock Lighthouse.
...I've mentioned this lonely lighthouse in several past postings but this image is meant to give you a sensing for what it must have felt like for a keeper to approach this station for a 42 day stay in the late 1800s and early 1900s.

so much for a place to feel and watch the waves come alive warm hugs, Linda
Yeah, that would be a lonely and desolate 42 days stuck out there on that rock. I'd really be jonesing for a cheeseburger after a week or so! Great photo - really brings out the isolation.
Great off center crop- thanks for sharing! :-)

Very Nice, we went in the Teashop Near the Canal, but will go in Ducks Ditty, when we walk along the towpath,

Nice capture and lighthouse Bill, love the filter work also!! Very interesting link ! Glad to have you inspired some ideas, I have another one for the head whirls.
Really fantastic atmo here Bill...wonderful post!
Oooh, this is rich...this is fantastic. I could easily spend a 42 day stay there, with plenty of food, reams of white paper, and a typewriter! Okay, in this day and age: plenty of food, electricity, and a wi-fi connection. I find it incredible that I don't sense any kind of loneliness at all here: being a city dweller, I probably should but all I can imagine is writing the great multi-grenre, crazy novel there! And I love the high key effect of this work, and the sepia toning. How superb! What a structure and all around vista. This is a marvel!
beautiful and thanks for the link..
Lighthouses are such wonderful subjects for all sorts of reasons.
