Description
This is the Striated Caracara so called for the striations of gold around the back of the head and shoulders.. A highly intelligent raptor, that is now protected and back on track, and at present not endangered..
It's very intelligence nearly it's undoing as it would pick at dead sheep or weakened lambs and thus bore the wrath of the Falklands sheep
farmers..
It will also force seabirds to give up their catch, and locals call the bird Johnny Rook for its habit in collecting bright things, and seemingly attracted to red underwear!!
