Description
Dont ask me what its name is or where it comes from, but I just love it. I didnt have this last year and I havent bought anything for this flowerbed this year, so it must have found this flowerbed attractive enough to settle down here. First i thought it was from a little bag of wild flowers I planted in 2009 in another flowerbed, but it is not the same, as the leaves are very different, but the flowers look much alike. http://www.renderosity.com/mod/gallery/index.php?image_id=2094436&user_id=344291&page=18&member&np
I wish I knew the name of this. I have asked for it in a site where I´m member, but havent got any answer yet.

Definitely Carrot family, and could be Hogweed, but send me a close-up of the leaves and the flowers for an accurate ID! I can see why you love it..spectacular!
Really very lovely!
Great flowers.
Beautiful shot.
Very good picture! I like these plants as well.
wonderful gardenplace like all this flowers !!
And the deer haven't made off with it! I too can see your reason for fascination.
Great capture of this super lovely plant Helle, love the colors
I think this is either 'Skirret' or Valerian, Try putting these into your search engine and see what you come up with Helle. Both are herbs. Skirret Umbelliferae (Sium sisarum). Valerian Valerianaceae (Valeriana officinalis).
it makes a super pic
bonne photo!
WOW! YESSS! I think you are right Jeff !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I found this in danish: http://da.wikipedia.org/wiki/L%C3%A6ge-Baldrian In danish called Baldrian. YAY so it is a medicinal herb. WOOHOO ! How wonderful :D Thank you so much for the help Jeff :)))
Not so fast Helle, this could also could be "Water Hemlock" Carrot family and all parts of that are "Deadly Poisonous". Just thought you should know it looks alot like this. The Water Hemlock has little points sticking out on the outer edges of the leaves. Beautiful flowering plant and a wonderful capture! :)
Kim! I know about that, but I will now change the picture and add the leaf and a bloom. I dont think it is the dangerous plant :) But thanks for the help. :)))
Well Helle - you certainly stirred the RR family with your pet weed! I wouldn't know poisonous from healthy if I tried - to me it is either pretty or ugly - and this is very pretty! LOL...
I see many friends that are experts in floriculture! I'm not... but I really like the flowers! Great shot, Helle! :)
WOW! This only shows, that one persons weed, can be another persons treasure! You sure have a treasure here Helle!
now you going to get well with the medicine you going to make
I wouldn't consider this a weed at all ... it's beautiful! What a gorgeous thing to have at the back of a cutting bed. (Not that the roe would let you HAVE a cutting bed! LOL!) I'm glad you kept it. Hopefully it will survive next winter and come back for you again!
how interesting!!!!!!! A wonderful plant!!!!!!!!!!
Very bautiful plant and wonderful picture !Great capture , Helle !
Wonderful, what an exuberant bloomer. A beautiful picture of your garden, Helle. p.s. I knew the name too, I take pills made from this plant to become rest(but it doesn't help much ;-))
Wonderful pets you have. Love the pale rose color of the macro.
I love your pets, and if this is valerian, then the roots are good for all sorts of things and I think it even has a distinct effect on cats...but I'm not entirely certain. Anyway, this is a marvelous flowering plant! And your deer haven't gotten to it yet? Marvelous! I love the flowers, they're so delicate looking. Do they have a scent?
