Description
There's something about this fence that simply catches my eye every time I see it. The curves, the sand on each side, the soft, weathered wood; it all blends together for a very beautiful look.

I agree. My first thought was...snow? :) Very subtle, soft tones. Niceeee.
Love the lack of color here. Awesome shot.
Great shot
I, too, love the lack of color, the soft, soft tones. Beautiful!
the lines in it is super
this looks so desolate, nice capture
Exquisite...absolutely lovely.
That fence photo shown in Alberta would be assumed to be snow. It would look identical, and I find it very interesting even just for that reason.
great capture !! like this soft colortones :)
Looks lovely alright, nice capture!!
Excellent shot.
superb my friend
Wow, and your postwork makes it a real stunner indeed; sepia is a great choice here!!! Love the curves too :)
Cool sepia tones!
Its very abstract I think and I love it :o) Mick
Super POV employed in this pic of the old picket fence, as it undulates its way across the image, Marilyn!
I was talking about this fence and you with my stepmother yesterday. I believe it is meant to protect nesting areas. Superb composition and the minimal color really adds to the image.
I agree that this is quite gorgeous and there's something about these fences. We get them every winter on the shores of Lake Michigan--I don't actually know why they're really there, unless they're simply to prevent wandering into unsafe areas, but there's always a way through the fence. I also heard they have something to do with snow drifts. At any rate, they're odd and it's always nice to see them outside of a Chicago context. I love the pattern and the muted colors. This is really super stuff...nicely abstract too.
beautiful !
I like this shot for a couple of reasons. They are rustic and can take a beating from the weather. Up here in New England, they actually use it to control snow drifts - like an open park or golf course - same as the moving sand in California. Dana.
