Description
There is a road that runs from Kuta Beach to Denpasar, Bali’s capital, and then roughly northeast through a series of villages. Mas is a center for woodcarving. Celuk is the village of silver and gold. Batubulan specializes in stone carving and is the site of the well-known Barong Dance.
I set out with my two new friends in their livery vehicle, passing through a pretty countryside. Our first stop would be Mas, the furthest from Kuta. We would then work our way back from there.

This could be an ag valley anywhere ... it shows how much alike we are everywhere around the world in so many ways! Everybody has to eat, and it all comes from flat land just like this.

Marvelous! I love the horizontal lines going back and back, and getting closer and closer together. Wonderful contrast between the regular patterns of the fields and the soft, puffy clouds. Lovely colors and depth. Excellent shot!
What an adventure.. do you keep a journal to remember all these details?
