Description
Passport. Check. Plane ticket. Check. Overstuffed giant backpack. Check. The cat is with mom. I get to the airport early. Excited and a little nervous. My first trip alone and I am ready to go.
And I wait, and wait, and wait and zzzzz, sleep. Two hours late and we are finally ready for takeoff. It’s a vintage Boeing 707 flown by Merpati Airlines. Merpati is the Indonesian word for pigeon. Little did I know that it was meant to describe the passengers. And then, with a last look at home, we are on our way.

I love takeoff, it's my favorite part of flying, next to touching down. I'm settled in and waiting for the show! :)
The first image struck a nerve. Leslie and I missed our flight back to NYC, and spent the night in the Dublin airport. We played cards on a table with a booth on each side. After a while the booths became our beds. Great images. Nice capture of sleeping beauty and wonderful night shot of the plane. Great narrative, and you remembered the important bit. "The cat is with mom."
Despite the 2 hour delay - I nearly missed this plane ... running late as usual with my comments, but here we go - hope you enjoyed the food on the plane and wish you a safe landing Mark, you probably can expect some humidity at Denpasar ... haha BB

I am in a photography club in my town, last week we had a couple come and talk and show photos of course about a trip they took to the Galapagos Islands their stories were fascintating.. You are such a wonderful story teller I wish you lived closer so you could come tell about some of your travels.
