Description
On Sunday, May 22, what has been called the deadliest tornado in the U.S. in 60 years ripped through the town of Joplin, Missouri. More than a third of this community lies in ruin. Many lives have been lost - 123 at last count - and many more have been left to heal from the heartbreak of loss and try to rebuild thier lives.
I hope this image gives Dave and the people of Joplin a tiny ray of light and hope for the future.
Missourians are known for thier strength and faith. Joplin will heal, and rebuild. And it's citizens will remember those lost. God bless you and provide comfort and healing.
Please remember Dave and his family and all those who suffered loss in this tragedy.

The 'falling star' is actually a contrail from an aircraft high above. I shot several frames as the airplane progressed - I liked this one best :-)

very beautiful photo my friend, Dave is one of the best here at rendo, and this like all disasters strike this community. very sad how bad that was, seen on my msn home page oklahoma also just got hit, not sure of all the details yet. and for a period there dallas ft worth had warnings. like how you added the falling star Rod, super thought for Joplin and our friend Dave. my prayers and thoughts go with them all. steve

One solace for all concerned. I've seen the pictures, I've heard the reports. This year - the year of disasters. A few months ago I would have taken note of these messages - nothing more. But the world has become smaller - people know each other. And so does every loss hurts so much more. I also hope that the victims will find back to life ... that stop such disasters. A pious wish - I know - but we can make a small contribution.

Rod, this is a wonderful dedi and really brightened my morning. Thanks so much for your support recently as it means a lot. I instantly recognized this Christ Of The Ozarks as our family enjoys going to Eureka Springs from time to time. It was a wonderful idea to include this photo with the aircraft contrail as it does look just like a falling star.
