Captured 4/12/11, early in the morning, within walking distance of my antagonistic abode.

Photos 1 & 2 are of the same vehicle.
Sheer coincidence that I would encounter three cars with oxidized hoods on the same day, each separated by several blocks of each other.

Perhaps it is the latest fashion or perhaps you have someone in your neighbourhood who likes to dance on bonnets. Interesting shots.

That is quiet a collection Harry. I understand that the hoods are the stars of this wonderful collage but I couldn't help notice the missing hub caps, windshield wiper and the taped up rearview mirror. Dana
I hate to see cars rusting....all it takes is keeping it waxed. Why in the world is the top cars' hood so rusty when the rest of it is nice?

Lots of rear-end collisions leaving wrinkled hoods that get cheaply switched out with junkyard replacements? Be careful in that neighborhood, it leads me to think that maybe these people don't have auto insurance...well spotted and collaged, Harry!

Was sure I commented on this...humm...Hopefully this is in the process of being repaired...cuz it has loads of painting potential with an airbrush! :-)
the serendipity of this image is amazing. I'd have to travel long & wide to find 3 cars with such similar decay in Chicago. At first blush, one thinks this is the same car---but we can see, full view, that it's truly 3. I didn't think one could do a delightful capture of total rust, but these are a delight & they do seem like bonnets or leather chaps. They seem like a decorative 'choice' rather than accident. Man, L.A. must have some wicked rains! Those hoods are covered! It's almost a fashion statement. See, this is one of the things that makes your gallery so wonderful: You find the picture wherever you are, and you find art in everything. The fact that these are within a few blocks of each other is amazing: If they weren't cars, I'd think they were related. Wonderful montage, with real clarity & lots of fun.
