Description
~Götterdämmerung~ translated means: 'Twilights of the Gods'.
It is the last in 4 Operas, of "Der Ring der Nibelungen" by Richard Wagner.
When I was just a Teen in Germany (Hannover), I went to see/hear my first Opera and this one had left a profound impact on my life, I was touched to tears by the end of it.(4 hours)
I was in love with Richard Wagner and his compositions.
I could never ever forget such an experience and I like to dedicate this image to all lovers of Opera and especially to a dear friend to all of us here @ Renderosity - JACOMINA - take a bow!
This sundown's moody atmosphere, interpreted by me - related to the way I feel about Opera.
Cheers *BB* aka Brigitte

SUPERB, Brigitte! I do prefer Mozaert and Donizetti operas though!
Great photo manip, Brigitte! I'm also very fond of Wagner - and love classic as well as rock music (not simultaneously! ;o))
Dear Brigitte, I'm very touched that you want to share this with us, (and me) and tell us about it. Something that impressed you, and is such a good reminder for you remained. I find this a great honor. I know Germany still has the "Festspiele" about Wagner, and his opera performed annually in Bayreuth. Your photo manipulation refers to agreement, called the "Götterdämmerung". You're a great friend Even though I prefer another German composer, namely J.S. Bach and his cantata's. I've admiration for this image. Anyway, even if you had not mentioned me. And I'm a big music fan! Music can reach my heart very deeply. A bow for you!!
fantastic image
A silk screen printers dream design, very kool with all the vivid layers and tonal range ! Very neat insipration and reslt, not really into opera, but I respect their talents as a musician myself. Good one BB & Doc !

Outstanding postwork. It does look ominous. May I recommend to you my own interpretation of The Ride of the Valkyrie? http://www.renderosity.com/mod/gallery/index.php?image_id=1979438&user_id=4105&page=11&member&np
Excellent work!! How wonderful that you keep such a beautiful memory!
Splendid image ! Great postwork ! Great music ! I live in the area where Giacomo Puccini lived and I am a big fan of the Master who also had a villa on the hill in front of my house (Chiatri Puccini). I like all the great music!
Not into opera personally, But I have read the Nibellungenlied saga thingy...most cool stuff, he dies, she dies, everyone dies...the end. THAT is a saga.
nice sky and silhouettes
Imanaged to see Lohengrin in Korea. The Korean language is well suited to Wagner.Profound and moving. Excellent work
beautiful!
Beautiful. Love the postwork!
I am a recent explorer into the world of opera, though I have loved operettas as long as I can remember. I was just listening to Verdi: 'Il Trovatore' on Met Opera Radio. I don't know the composers well enough to have favorites yet, though I quite like what I have heard of Mozart's 'Don Giovanni'. I've barely gotten my feet wet. :) The emotional resonance of opera is amazing. It is very well expressed by Roger Pines in the foreword of 'Opera for Dummies' (a book written by two very funny guys) “…when push comes to shove, an operatic experience is an experience in beauty, and beauty is what we have too little of in this world. When you hear a soprano float a high C, or a tenor singing a love song, or a full-throated chorus in the climax of a scene’s dramatic finale, I guarantee that you’ll get goosebumps you’ve never felt before. We’re talking about the singing voice, the most human of all instruments--and the voice communicates emotion in a way that nothing else can match.” Beautiful image and dedication to dear Jacomina! I love the layers and dramatic atmosphere. They are like the layers of voices and orchestra that merge into a deeply emotional and dramatic experience. I love the deep purples, dark contrasts, and fiery sunset. Excellent postwork and beautifully expressive image!
