Description
I can honestly say, that there are not too many Ladies overwhelmed by seeing a Spider ! - but there are others, who have a penchant and love for these beautiful creatures (needless to say, apart from Doxies).
When I spotted this itzy, bitzy - teeny, weeny little spider, I almost screamed with delight to have found something sooo unusual and good-looking, (sorry guys - you are no match!)
He reminded me of a Biscuit - in shape & colour, only the Cheese missing ...
(think Wallace & Gromit, British Animations)
Cheers *BB* aka Brigitte

I know Wallace & Gromit! I think I have seen just about every type of weird ever imagined but this one is beyond that point you know what type?
I knew, evoluntionarily speaking, Australia went it's own way a long time ago but until you described this I thought it was a very large spider trying to carry off a teeny tiny craker. Now you tell me it's all one creature!? Truely strange. And to show how cheeky it is, it has a smiley face on it's bottom! Well, it's still a superb capture and a really odd discovery.
So that's what happened to the cookies...and I thought it was me sleep walking ! What weird critter and to me the marking on it's back looks like an evil skeleton head...YIKES ! Neat captures and composition BB ! Very well done & ~Cheers~
I love spiders too they fascinate me he looks different never seen one like that before superb capture !!
Any bug that looks like that has to be really really dangerous, I would not mess with the critter no matter how tiny or how kewl it looks.
This spider has a tattoo! A death mask? No, right? He makes gymnastics, climbing up to a straw. He escaped from the circus, I guess. You're a wonderful artist, and have captured a very small artist boyfriend. Do you ever let him free, my beautiful friend :D?
superb macro, wonderful clear - never seen this kind of cookie (sorry spider);) thank you for this Brigitte
Great. He has his 'bluff' act down pat!
Fantastic shot of this little creature Brigitte, what a threatening stance.
Brilliant, Brigitte, Thankyou for this gorgeous creature! You did a very clever job here.
Wonderful capture of this "oddie" of an orb-spider, Brigitte! :o)
belle araignee!
Looks like an extra from a Mad Max movie Great shot nice composition. You have a great eye for finding these critters!
terrific image
A GREAT IMAGE, A FANTASTIC COMPOSITION!
This is one fascinating spider and yes he looks like a biscuit, the blues suit him the straw is distracting you only need the bottle and the spider, less is better. Geoff.
I knew you had some strange things in Australia but this little critter really takes the cake, as it were. Amazing how scary he looks with that skull and crossbones on his back too. Excellent photo manip.
really great capture!
Vero , quando si arriva avedere un ragno da molto vicino , riesi perfino a trovarlo bello ! Vedi qualcosa che difficilmente si può notare da lontano !Very beautiful image , great capture !
Superb capture!
What the hell's bells is that thing?! That's a spider??? I swear I'll never eat another cheese cracker as long as I live!
cool lookin spider blonde!
Fantastic capture and work! Very strange spider indeed!
Interesting photo.
He's an 8-legged Cheese Nip! What a wild, wild little costume job. He's adorable. Great capture.
Excellent photo of a VERY cool spider!!!!
This is so wild looking! Wonderful capture! I was curious and googled 'strange spiders of Australia.' I found a web site called 'Top 10 Bizarre Spiders' and found the Spiny Orb Weavers (Gasteracantha) which looks like this. There are a lot of different colors and shapes. The one I found closest to yours is here: http://www.flickr.com/photos/30221169@N04/2930468074/ They are not considered dangerous. The spider in Charlotte's web is a barn orb-weaver spider. Love your capture and the way you made him into the Cookie Thief. Excellent image!
Never saw a spider that looks like this before An oddity indeed Great find & great image Hugs Susan~
Intriguing, can you tell me what kind of spider that is? I have never seen the like.
