Description
Captured 10/18/09, at the beautiful Huntington Library, Art Collections, and Botanical Gardens in beautiful San Marino, California.
Don't bother zooming; comes out the same size.
To show that I also have a cultural side, following my foto activities at the Orchid Show, I strolled over to the Scott Galleries building, which features American art, and snapped some pics, inside the lovely vestibule, of the statue of, I presume, Artemis, of Greek mythology, the goddess of the moon, wild animals and hunting, and the twin sister of Apollo; identified with the Roman mythology Diana. Since I'm not absolutely positive that it is Artemis/Diana, I would welcome any incontrovertible evidence to the contrary.
Incidentally, top foto looking north, bottom one looking south. And, no flash or tripod used, but lots of postwork.
Sayonara, thankx for the visit, and for any and all favs and complimentary comments.

Great work here Harry, these really are some fabulous captures
Beautiful statue and captures! It's nice to see it from both sides. The light in the top one is superb! It shines beautifully on the statue, and makes wonderful streaky shadows beyond. Very nice cultural side, Harry!
My sister used to have a nice statue of Diana the Huntress, but I have no idea what happened to it. Nice front and back view of this one, Harry.
