Description
Captured 7/31/10, at the American Civil War Reenactment, held at the vast and beautiful El Dorado Park in beautiful Long Beach, California.
Much better viewed full size.
The battle was slowly drawing to a close, with just intermittent firing at this juncture, the Yanks the apparent winner. The troops shown at the upper right in the bottom photo must be hardened veterans for them to be standing so nonchalantly on a battlefield strewn with the bodies of the dead, dying and wounded, many of them their comrades.
Auf wiedersehen, thankx for the look-see, and for any and all favs and laudatory comments.

Awesome and very interesting collage !!
Always enjoyable seeing this continuing series of yours, Harry.
Very nice work on another exciting collage Harry, thanks for sharing
wonderful shots of this battle
Great collage Harry and I think that near the end – the carnage begins to set in. I think that this would also apply at a reenactment. Dana
Another fantastic and interesting collage of this event. There is a lot to discover.
Can a corpse with an itch scratch it? Imagine falling unawares onto an ant hill;-) Well done and the zoom really adds to the effect.
I still can't see the appeal of this activity but the pics are great.
Bodies everywhere in the noonday sun... The aftermath of War! Super collage, really well put together Harry.. Thanks :-) Rob
Coffee break? Or maybe they were trying to decide who won? Excellent shots, Harry; I'm curious, was there any moaning from the wounded, or once fallen did they just lie there quietly? And were there medics with these armies? Just wondering...
I still love the smoke in these...bet it was allot thicker when they got going hey?
